Assistant Manager - Purchasing
Job description:
Ø Manage Purchase requisition(PR)/Shopping carts(SC)
Ø Review, analyze and verify the purchase requisition/Shopping carts
Ø Administer the PR/SC in accordance with the existing procurement procedures
Ø Manage Purchase orders(PO)
Ø Responsible for purchasing activities(PO, RTV, SMI, VMI)
Ø PO release, modify, cancelations
Ø Manage Suppliers
Ø Delivery follow up with supplier(pull-in, push-out)
Ø Handle material delivery, quality issues with suppliers
Ø Communicate, negotiate and maintain good relationship with suppliers
Ø Coordination with Internal teams
Ø Work closely with GCM/Sourcing team on the timely updation of MDM
Ø Assist on Qtly suppliers performance review
Ø Work closely with user functions(SC raiser) to resolve the issues on timely manner
Ø Assist Global team on generating various department related reports
Ø Assist in planning and execution of ad hoc duties assigned by dept head
Ø Assist in scheduling workload to meet priorities and dept. performance related targets
Ø Assist in implementing procurement strategies in the department
Ø Assist in review, manage, monitor staff performance for good team spirit
Job Requirements
Ø Degree holder in Engineering or related discipline is preferred;
Ø 8+ years worked as “Team Lead” sourcing/purchasing in MNC’s;
Ø Must have experienced in using SAP, BaaN or other ERP systems
Ø Must have people management experience
Ø Experience in procurement procedures formulation is an advantage;
Ø Self-motivated, able to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure
Ø Attention to details, strong follow up through and deliver positive results
Ø Must have a strong analytical skills;
Ø Must be an advance user of MS office(word, Excel, PPT)
Ø Proficiency in both written and spoken English;
Ø Immediate available is preferable.
